About 40 skaters and BMX riders was no way to far to of 25 to 26 May at first international “All Girls Skate & BMX Weekend” to share their passion for action sports. The professional skateboarder and filmmaker Jenna Selby came with their team riders from Rogue Skaeboards even from the UK.

Impressed ladies from Germany, Scotland, England, Austria and the Netherlands and inspired each other in the Wicked Woods Wuppertal hall with individual style and glaring tricks. Your action sports and the lifestyle associated brought female professionals, amateurs and beginners of all ages and with varied life backgrounds. Old friendships freshened up and created new ones. Appointments were made to roll along in the future, because in many regions driving the girls alone or only with guys.
Since the All Girls Weekend but gain in sight. In the beginner workshops are rookies infected with the skate and BMX virus. But the rates also occupied such, the Board exchanged against bike and vice versa. This was so much fun that well over the targeted time together beginner tricks were like Bunny Hop, practiced driving backwards, or Nollies ollies.
To maintain the sessions of advanced courses developed under the direction of Dutch professional BMX rider Shanice Silva Cruz and Natasha “Nash Nashi” Girls of Rock’n’Roll skateboarding.
BMX riders and skate boarders rolled relaxed together, were considerate and helped each other with advice. Despite over 40 participants plus accompaniment on the ramps so it was plenty of room for all.
So much action made hungry. In addition to the afternoon lunch, the participants strengthened especially in the evening a delicious barbecue buffet.
With fresh forces started the evening program with a fun contest. Many laughs generated the limbo contest, where the girls with extremely imaginative moves made flatter than their skateboards at the end. A broad smile also produced “Last Girl Standing” in which the BMX riders took playful off balance. As a true adept at this it turned out one of the youngest participants, the eleven-year old Lucy Ronkholz from Cologne. The Lucy is a talented young rider, she showed the BMX Best Trick contest with a no food Can Can. Even the skaters as they beat out some extreme, best trick.
Of course it rained for the winners of profits as BMX accessories from We the People Store, Fashion, Vans and Nikita, T-Shirts and Stuff by Concrete Wave and Rogue Skateboards and more.
To 2 clock at night, the All Girls romped still in the hall before they snuggled in the café of the Wicked Woods in the sleeping and watching movies as a bedtime of sassy women on boards and bikes.
Hardly had the day they return, they already pulled it back to your beloved sports equipment. After a breakfast it was called then, however, take farewell with a heavy heart.
More gifts and new friends sweetened the way home and of course the beautiful thought that next year the All Girls Weekend definitely going to continue.
